Transcript of the video lesson:
Hey, this is Joel from WorldSpanishTeacher.com. In this lesson, I want to tell you how you can say, “every other day” in Spanish.
There are at least 3 ways you can say it and I’m going to review those ways. You can say, “cada dos días.”You can say, “día por medio.” Or you can say, “un día sí, un día no.”
So, you can say, “every other day” but you can also say, every other month, ever other week – just like in English. So, you could also say, “cada dos meses… un mes sí, un mes no… mes por medio.”
You can use it in a lot of different contexts just like in English. You can use it with: semana, ciudad, camisa, casa, amigo… So, you can use it with all of those, just like in English.
“Cada dos días”
“Día por medio”
“Un día sí, un día no”
“Voy a la universidad cada dos días”
“Visito a mi familia un día sí, un día no”
“Voy a trabajar día por medio”
Well, I hope that this was helpful for you and that you’ve just added a new Spanish expression to your Spanish and that you can sound a little bit more natural when you’re speaking.
Don’t forget, WorldSpanishTeacher.com for more of my lessons, my mp3 conversational course, and native Spanish speakers who you can practice with and get corrections and sound a little bit more fluent. And they’re fun too. Thanks for watching.
